Have you had a good time at birch hall if so please let us know via the contact page. Below are what some of our visitors have had to say:
Name: Matt Richards
Group Name: Apex Challenge National Scout Event
Date of Visit: 10th - 12th October 2008
Number in party: 340
Comments: Birch Hall proved to be the perfect setting for this National scout competition. More than 280 Explorers and Network members took part with a further sixty in the organising team. We found the site to be plenty big enough for camping and many of the leaders commented on the quality of the indoor accommodation. The two large kitchens proved to be ample for cooking for more than three hundred on-site guests. The setting is about as good as any in the UK for direct access to open forest and countryside - and the Langdale Forest made for a superb backdrop for our multi-activity event. The warden and local district team offered huge support in the weeks before the event and it's clear this site gets a lot of care from those responsible for it. Finally a big bonus is its remoteness. You can make as much noise as you like without annoying anyone! We'll certainly be back!.
