The Powell cabin offers excellent value accommodation including a kitchen/dinning room and full catering facilities that have been replaced in 2008 as part of the birch hall re-development program. Floor for the night type accommodation for up to 30 people. The unit has a 20x7m hall also included with this unit is a 3 acre paddock that is suitable for up to 100 campers.
Sanitation facilities for this unit consist of a portacabin with separate male and female compartments with WC'S, hot showers, wash hand basins and urinals.
This unit has a telephone that allows incoming calls only except for emergency calls which then can be made. Gas and electric is payable on a meter system and you are required to read the meters when you arrive and leave the accommodation. This system means you only pay for what you use.
As with many forest sites insects can be a nuisance during the season May to October. We recommend you bring insect repellent with you and cover up well at peak times these are usually mornings and late evenings.
